Dear 1LT Super Families,

Thanks for checking out our webpage.
Our classroom theme this year is SUPER YOU!  We will be focusing on what makes us each super with our unique similarities and differences.

Thank you for visiting our site.  Please bookmark this page for easy access.  It is good to check often to see what we are up to.  The Friday Letter section (to the left) will be updated weekly.  Please remember to check this important information.   Our goal is to make this website not just a tool for us, as teachers, but to connect with families as well.  It is also a learning tool and resource for your child. Check out the links and song sections. There are many resources here that reinforce what we are learning in the classroom.

We are really enjoying our unit study of polar animals!  Check out these live cameras!

Reminders:

  • Please remind your child to keep all toys and personal items at home (Unless thy've earned a certificate for getting 10 hole punches). They can get easily lost, broken and can be distracting.
  • Every Wednesday and Friday morning the Get Moving/Walking Club meets. The club meets at 8:15 am in the lobby. This is a great opportunity for you & your child to get some fresh air and exercise before school starts! It's a great way to start they day.
  • Weather permitting, we go outside everyday for recess. Sometimes, the children get hot and take off their coats. Please label your child's name on hats, gloves and coats, etc.  You can also check the Lost & Found.

We will be spending a lot of time together this year. Communication is key for a strong, home-school connection. Please feel free to call and leave a message (631-725-5301) or email us.  We will do our best to get back to you within the same day.

Warmly,
Wendy Turbush & Amanda Loren
