Dear Families, Hello! We will no longer be providing children with plastic utensils. If possible, when sending in snacks and lunches that require utensils, please pack your own spoons and forks. It would be great if you pack your own reusable utensils, so that we can cut down on the use of plastic. Thanks for your help with this! We've been enjoying our Author Study on Ezra Jack Keats. We have been reading his books and researching all about this wonderful author. We've learned some of the techniques that he used while illustrating his own stories. The children made collages of snow scenes, including Peter in his red snowsuit. Next week, the class will be working in cooperative groups to create posters all about Ezra Jack Keats and his fine work! We did some problem solving math work in cooperative groups this week. Students had to work in teams. We had team leaders, helpers, and materials managers all working together! This was exciting and fun! Please feel free to contact me if you'd like to read and/or do a project with the class. We love to have parents visit! We've had several visitors lately and would love to see all of you!
